International Print Exhibition: Canada and Japan was organized by Akira Kurosaki and the Kyoto Print Exhibition Executive Committee. The traveling exhibition explored more than 150 contemporary prints by Canadian and Japanese artists in a way that created a compelling storyline of printmaking in both countries. Participating artists represent some of the best Canada and the Kyoto/Kyushu region of western Japan have to offer, and all of them have helped build the strong reputations in printmaking held by these countries.
Opening at the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art, Tokushima 21st Century Cultural Information Centre, and Tokushima Modern Art Museum Gallery in October 2016, the exhibition went on to Edmonton and Regina, Canada, where Templeton earned her MFA and BFA. Venues included panel events and talks during which Templeton lectured on her international influences and respective practice.
