Language & the Future

2015

Organized by Changsha Normal University, Changsha, China

This Xiaoxiang project is organized into two parts, including work for exhibition and a collaborative portfolio. Eighty artists (fifty international and thirty artists from China) were included in the exhibition, while fifty (thirty international and twenty artists from China) are included in the portfolio set. The portfolio is split into two sections with ten distributed among recognized collections. The work showcases the best of contemporary printmaking and features work by artists from China, the United States, Canada, Australia, South America, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Selection criteria focused on images that integrated innovative approaches to printmaking. Like similar collaborative portfolios, Language and the Future is interpretated broadly, enabling a variety of interpretations.
