Organized by professor Brian Kelly, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Lafayette, LA, USA, and Associate Professor Larry Schuh, McNeese State University, Lake Charles, LA, USA

Organized by Brian Kelly and Larry Schuh for Marais Press in Louisiana, this portfolio of twenty artists was one of the first times I had worked alongside some of the best in American printmaking, and indeed it was my first portfolio involvement after moving to the United States. The theme was open to broad interpretation, although many, including me, seized the opportunity to address it literally with blatant humor and enthusiasm. Invited artists included those honored in the field: Lloyd Menard, director of the nationally acclaimed Frogman’s Print Workshops; Rudy Pozzatti, founder of the Indiana University Printmaking program; David Driesbach, a revered printmaker and educator for over fifty years; Rocky Toner, former dean of fine arts at Temple University; and Michael Ray Charles, featured in the PBS Art 21 series.
