Following City of Northern Lights, Templeton was invited to serve as a guest artist at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. The Warsaw Academy is one of the oldest and largest art institutions of higher education in Poland, offering nine faculties, including their prestigious Graphic Arts program. The institution plays an important part in the cultural life of the city and Poland. Its international standing consistently grows as a direct result of developing cooperation with academic centers and scholars abroad. One of the first universities in northern Poland, UMK was the first institution of higher education in Torun. Known for its supportive professorial engagement in student work, the university partners with various programs, including Torun’s Center for Contemporary Art, which focuses on contemporary and interdisciplinary activity, international cooperation, and important dialogue on the most current visual arts. At both schools, Templeton lectured on her practice, addressed student work, and delivered demonstrations on photographic etching using polymer films. Torun university media also conducted a thoughtful interview published on their site.Download Nicolaus Copernicus University interview with Tracy Templeton (Toruń, Poland)
