Artist Residency at Proyecto Áce & Exhibitions in Argentina

May 16–June 16, 2016

In 2016, Tracy Templeton participated in the ´acePIRAR residency program and exhibited her artwork at Fundación Áce’s gallery and the Instituto Superior Santa Ana, where she also delivered a lecture and demonstration on photographic etching. Templeton’s time at Proyecto Áce was intensive and productive, working collaboratively with the residency team. Her solo show dis-PLACED presented a suite of new works produced at Áce incorporating gold leaf, transporting her imagery to a new plane while connecting the viewer to the intimacy and mark of the artist.

Templeton also participated in an ´aceNITE public event, Another Place – Artists in Dialogue, which displayed works and featured discussions by artists from different disciplines of Argentine and international backgrounds and at different stages in their artistic careers. One of Áce’s missions is to expand artistic diversity, maintaining exceptional aesthetic and conceptual ideals. Templeton was interviewed by Augusto Monk, director of cultural affairs at Instituto Cultural Argentino Norteamerican, on her time and experiences in Buenos Aires.
